The product is a plastic bag made from welded plastic sheet with a soft collecting tube made from clear PVC having a tapered connector at one end for connecting the bag to the foley balloon catheter. The other end of the tube is connected to the plastic bag through a non-return valve. The bag has suitable hanging arrangements. The bag has a provision for drainage of urine with a spigot or valve arrangement to keep the drainage pipe closed and is graduated with approximate markings. The product is normally sterile unless otherwise mentioned.
